How to run the tunnelling dimensioning analytic
The tunnelling dimensioning analytic determines the boundaries of underground tunnels at periodic intervals, and measures internal roof heights, ground grade and crossfall. This tool is vital in assessing whether the underground structure aligns with the design specifications and in monitoring changes over time, such as the steepening of the road grade.
Prepare your input data
This tool requires a centreline of the tunnel in the form of a DXF, with vertices at the intersections. This can be created using Pointerra's drawing tools, which can be exported as DXF or sourced externally.
Note the DXF must only contain the centreline and must be a polyline.
Running the analytic
To run the analytic, load the "run analytics" GUI and click "Tunnelling Dimensioning" in the Mining section.
- Give your analytic a name
- Provide a description
- Select your config, if multiple exist
- Upload your centreline DXF file
- Choose your other options
- Click Run
An email will be sent when the analytic has been run and it will appear in the datasets section on the left side. Here you can turn on individual sections.
Downloading the report files
