New Features

Favourite Projects

The home view now has a tab that shows all projects that have been marked as favourites. Favourites are specific to each user. You can add projects to your favourites list by clicking on the "star" icon when viewing a project or using the actions menu to add/remove a project from your favourites list.

Improvements/Changes

Pointerra3D Core

General

• Authenticated storage locations set up by company administrators can now be used for data uploads. The ability to upload directly from S3 or Azure locations without admin setup has been removed. These changes streamline the upload process and allow admins to better control access to their data (without requiring users to have access to cloud storage access keys, etc)
• Storage locations can now be made to require a subfolder and can also be temporarily disabled.
• Add support for WKT2 coordinate system strings that contain embedded PROJ pipeline definitions (when using advanced datum mode projects).
• Added direct support for the Register360 metadata CSV format when processing 360 photos.
• When transferring a project to another company, the classification scheme definition will be duplicated into the receiving company's config if it doesn't already exist.
• Added support for reading scan setup "images" embedded in Trimble Realworks E57 exports. 
  • Note, the photos are embedded by Realworks into the E57 file as coloured points (RGB channel), not as a photo. So while it does allow for inclusion of the photo colour for non-return points (e.g. in the sky areas), it also means that the photos will created at the scan resolution, not the resolution of the original photos.
• Added support to upload .glb 3d tiles (mainly to support importing reality meshes from newer versions of Pix4D).
• Added a GPS Date parameter for raw calibration jobs for converting from GPS week seconds time format

Portal UI

• The sharing tab now shows project and collection sharing information in a unified view. The UI has been updated to allow for more flexible filtering and sorting. The edit view is now a separate page.  
• Added an indicator icon to show if a project is using fixed or advanced datum mode.
• Home page job filtering - toggle between all jobs and only showing failed jobs. Also improved page load speed.
• Added checkbox for datum mode in the external datasets upload.

Viewer

• Added option to create personal bookmarks. Bookmarks can be moved from personal to shared and vice versa. Users without edit permissions can still create personal bookmarks.
• The viewer now tries to autosave its state whenever a project is closed. There will be a special "[POINTERRA AUTOSAVE]" bookmark in the personal bookmarks list - this allows you to return to your previous autosaved view. This is saved per-user.
• The display 360 panorama and photo markers now utilises the Pointerra multi-resolution vector format. This means:
  • The display of the markers automatically adjusts to the zoom level to ensure that the performance remains high even with very large numbers of photos/panos.
  • You can now customise the style of each dataset's markers using colour, size and icons in the same way you can style vector points.
  • Note: this functionality is only available for new datasets (created after 17th July 2025)

Photogrammetry

• Added the option to delete photogrammetry project data and outputs
• Added the ability to manually select which photogrammetry GCPs to use as check points.

Analytics

• Added change polygon generation (SHP file) to mesh clash detector layers.
• Improved automatic detection of H-frame structures in the Poles and Wires analytics

Utility Explorer

• Major improvements to scalability and performance (time to create) for network reports
• Added a new attribute filter operation "= (ignore case)".
• Fix tile grid display to maintain aspect ratios when adjusting window size.

Bug Fixes

• A number of IFC edge case importing bugs have been fixed.
• Fixed a few quirks in the recent projects SRS list on the upload form (mainly sort order).
• Fixed a bug relating to deleted user accounts not being able to be re-invited back into a company.
