How do I generate and download automated point cloud quality reports?

What information is provided in the LAS/LAZ QC Report?

The QC report is aimed at identifying any differences found in the LAS headers, compiles this into a word DOCX file and contain the following information:

• Project generation summary

• File header summary such as:

  • LAS Version

  • Point Data Format

  • System Identifier

  • Global Min X / Y / Z

  • Global Max X / Y / Z

  • Number of Files in Dataset

  • Total Point Records

  • Point Density — All & Last Returns

  • Point Spacing — All & Last Returns

• Any WKT OGC Coordinate System Information in the header.

• Summary of any variances detected.

• Point Record Attributes:

  • Intensity Range

  • Return Number

  • Classification

  • Scan Angle

  • Scanner Channel

  • Point Source ID

How do I enable the QC report generation for my upload?

The Generate QC Report option is available in Section 6: Job Options in the upload page.

If you do not see this option and would like to trial it, please contact support.

Where can I download the QC Report?

When the job has completed building, the report will be available in the Processing status section under the Processing Time.
