Point sizing modes
The viewer currently supports three point sizing modes for displaying point clouds:
Pixels
In this mode, points are rendered at a constant pixel size, irrespective of distance from the camera
Millimeters
In this mode, points are rendered at a constant real-world size. The millimeters value determines that radius of each point. Points will appear smaller if they are further away from the camera
Auto-size
This is similar to millimeter sizing, except the viewer tries to automatically determine the best point size (in millimeters) based on the density of the point cloud.
Switching point size mode
You can set the point size mode from the main viewer options dialog (use the Points tab), or from the shortcut options menu of the point cloud dataset, as shown below
Note that the pixel sizing mode is automatically saved as part of bookmarks and scene defaults.
