Adding Sensor Configurations
Uploading and triggering pre-processing requires prior sensor configuration inputs into Pointerra. These inputs provide the processing workflows parameters specific to the sensor acquiring the data and enable each stage to run unassisted.
It is expected that users have pre-calibrated their sensors prior to adding these parameters. Users also need to be aware of specific operational parameters of their sensors as further explained below.
Navigate to the Pre-Processing>Sensor Configurations page.
- Select the "Add a new sensor" button.
- Enter Aircraft/Sensor details as described below.
- Enter lever arm parameters (extracted from desktop software for GPS and Laser processing). All units should be in decimal degrees.
- Enter 0.0 for any parameters that do not have calculated angles (i.e. "Vehicle to Reference Mounting Angles").
- Enter Laser Calibration parameters. Units are decimal degrees.
- Enter Mount Rotation angles. Units are decimal degrees. These should be entered as all 0.0 unless the IMU is orientated in a non-standard manner. Pointerra can assist with the requirements for these parameters.
- Users can then add any additional notes related to the configuration.
- Select Add Sensor Configuration to save. Save will error if parameters are missing.
- Once added Administrator users have the ability to Edit existing configuration parameters (to create a duplicate) and Archive the configuration if it is no longer valid for the data being uploaded..
- An Archived sensor configuration will not be available to be selected during the Upload workflow.
