How to use Identities

What are Identities?

Identities allow users to switch between two or more accounts from within Pointerra without needing a separate email address or requiring to log out then log in. Please contact our sales team if you wish to know more.

Note: While in a secondary identity, you will not be able to access the other identities without switching to them first.

How to setup identities

Once the Identities feature has been enabled on the accounts, you can send an invitation from the 2nd account as per normal.

Once the user has clicked on the link, the following window will appear providing three options. The user will need to be logged in in order to see the below.

• Option 1 - Accept and create a new identity
  • Use this to create the identities
• Option 2 - Accept and move my account to X Company
  • This will not create an identity, but will move the user to the 2nd company
• Option 3 - Decline invitation

Setting the default identity

You can set the default identity when logging in by navigating to your user profile and selecting the default identity from the drop down list.

Switching between identities

To switch identities navigate to the user in the top right corner and select Switch identity.
