How to use Identities

What Are Identities?

Identities in Pointerra allow users to manage multiple company accounts under a single login. Instead of maintaining separate email addresses or logging in and out each time, users can seamlessly switch between different company accounts within Pointerra.

How Do Identities Work?

This feature is especially useful for users who need to work across multiple Pointerra accounts, as they only need to log in once and can effortlessly move between different company environments. It simplifies account management, improves workflow efficiency, and ensures secure separation between different company accounts.

How to setup identities

Once the Identities feature has been enabled on the accounts, you can send an invitation from the 2nd account as per normal.


Once the user has clicked on the link, the following window will appear providing three options. The user will need to be logged in in order to see the below.

Setting the default identity

You can set the default identity when logging in by navigating to your user profile and selecting the default identity from the drop down list.

Switching between identities

To switch identities navigate to the user in the top right corner and select Switch identity.
