Manual Correction Overview
Pointerra's photogrammetry manual correction workflow allows you to:
- Define a bounding region to clean the edges of your results.
- Add ground control points (GCPs) for improved accuracy.
- Correct geolocation issues, such as vertical offsets.
This workflow is enabled by default and begins automatically after the initial alignment of your uploaded photos. During this step, we generate a photo set and a preview 3D mesh to help visualize the alignment of your data. (Note: The preview mesh is for visualization purposes only and does not reflect the quality of the final outputs.)
Skipping Manual Correction
If you prefer to proceed without manual correction, you can disable this option in the job configuration section.
Initiating Manual Correction
Once the initial alignment is complete, you will receive a notification that your project is ready for manual correction. To begin:
- Navigate to your photogrammetry project review page.
- Click "Begin Correction".
Correction Tools
There are three optional correction tools available. Each tool includes a save button, allowing you to save progress and continue later.
When you’ve completed all necessary corrections, click "Continue Processing" to finalize your edits and start the main processing job. (Note: Unsaved edits will be lost.)
